Reliance Jio has launched new prepaid recharge plans that allow its users to connect to BSNL’s network using Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR).

This move will help Jio users in remote and rural areas where Jio signals are weak or unavailable, ensuring uninterrupted mobile coverage.

The initiative has already started in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, marking a major step toward nationwide network expansion and improved reliability.

Special Recharge Plans for BSNL Network Access

Jio is offering two prepaid recharge options specifically for BSNL ICR:

Plan PriceData BenefitVoice CallsSMSValidity
₹1962 GB1,000 min1,000 SMS28 days
₹39610 GB1,000 min1,000 SMS28 days

These plans are only valid for the BSNL network and do not work with other networks like Airtel or Vodafone Idea.

Plans stay in a queued state until the first usage.

They are automatically activated upon the first use of voice, SMS, or data.

Once activated, the plan is valid for 28 days.

A New Era of Seamless Connectivity

This collaboration between Jio and BSNL was recently tested successfully in Rajasthan at a 4G site.

The test proves that ICR allows seamless coverage even in rural regions, paving the way for uninterrupted mobile connectivity.

The Intra-Circle Roaming service is also available free for all operators through 4G sites funded by Digital Bharat Nidhi.

Jio’s new prepaid plans go a step further by allowing users to access ICR even in areas not funded by Digital Bharat Nidhi.

What This Means for Users

With these new recharge plans, Jio users can:

Enjoy voice, SMS, and data services even in low-signal areas

Get automatic plan activation on first use

Experience seamless connectivity in rural and remote regions

This collaboration is a landmark step in expanding reliable mobile coverage across India, especially in regions where connectivity has historically been a challenge.
